I'm behind once again in blogging.
What have I done in the last week?
I've spent 4 days at the Imaging convention here in Phoenix where I got to see old friends, meet new friends, and put a face and a voice to the ones I've been communicating with online.
Its been a fabulous week full of intense information, inspiration, and creativity. Classes that were among my favorites included Jen Hillenga in regards to awesome ideas on marketing, and Hansen Fong's class in regards to posing for weddings. Another favorite was Kevin Kubota's class on 10 extraordinary photographers and how they got there. Where I want to be! Examples were Bambi Cantrell and Yervant. (http://bambi.bigfolioblog.com/)
I also had the opportunity, along with 5500 other photographers, to go see Anne Geddes one night. I don't want to know everyone's life story, but somehow I truly enjoyed knowing hers. Back in the early 80's, she said she was standing with her husband in Sydney by the water one night after dinner, looked up into the stars, and said "I'm going to be the top childrens photographer in the world." And by the way, she wasn't a photographer at all when she made that promise.
She is incredible and I left wanting to photograph babies inside flowers!!
I am the kind of person that wants everything Yesterday. So I left the convention on fire, on edge, inspired and ready to conquer the world.
Conventions and seminars are a great way to get out there, network, and keep up with the latest and greatest things out there. I try to do 2 a year.
Anyway, I'll leave you with a picture of me and my girlfriends Carrie and Tanja while we went out shooting in dowtown Phoenix one aftertoon with a few other photographers as well. We're a cheap date @ 3 for a $1. :D

Look out for some sexy boudoir images coming up this week~
